The Center for the History of Emotions has a vacant position starting on 1 September 2022 or later for a Student research assistant with 40 hours per month to support the research project “Aging, Mobility and Emotional Labor in East and Southeast Asia” of Dr Mika Toyota
The tasks include bibliographical research mostly in English secondary sources, independent excerption of secondary sources, and sourcing of literature.

The Center for the History of Emotions has a vacant position starting on 1 September 2022 or later for a

Student research assistant (40 hours per month)

to support the research project “Aging, Mobility and Emotional Labor in East and Southeast Asia” of Dr Mika Toyota

Responsibilities:
- Bibliographical research mostly in English secondary sources
- Independent excerption of secondary sources
- Sourcing of literature

Requirements:
- Enrolment as a student (PhD students are NOT eligible) in a Berlin or Brandenburg (county) university
- At least two study semesters in Sociology, Anthropology, Cultural studies or related field of study
- Interest in gender studies.
- Knowledge of English is essential and German or Japanese skills are a plus.
- High personal motivation, ability to work independently and attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines and to work without direct supervision

Salary:
The salary is regulated by collective agreement and amounts to 12.00€/hour for bachelor and 13.95€/hour for master students.
